Dunkin’ Donuts

When Dunkin’ Donuts has finally opened branches in Cape Town, I was just soooo happy. This brought back my childhood memory when first time I had Dunkin’ Donuts in Indonesia, I must have been around 12 years old. Ohhh old good Dunkin’ donuts! The above image is my favorite Dunkin’ for all these years, it’s called Boston Cream. It’s a round donuts filled with vanilla filling and chocolate topping.

It’s nice to see Dunkin’ maintains some authentic flavor for many years throughout different countries.  There are some new comers I see on the flavors. All donuts price tags are R14/single, R75  for 1/2 a dozen, R135 for a dozen.

Dunkin’ offers foods, for “am” from croissants, to bagels to hash brown range from R15 to R38. ‘pm” food from croissant, bagels to sandwiches range from R35 to R38.

There are hot beverages, iced beverages and frozen beverages. I haven’t tried the iced and frozen beverages yet. But the Dark Dunkaccino (R30 M – R36 L) looks yummy! The cappuccino was actually quite nice. So I have been having the cappuccino with the donut if I did sit down there.

The Combo Deals are quite tempting though. For example, a breaded chicken wrap, a donut and a medium iced coffee are for R70.

Dunkin Donuts Canal Walk branch.

They have opened six branches in Cape Town. I have so far been to the N1 City, Canal Walk and Kenilworth Centre branches.  The N1 City branch has a nice set up in second floor with an impressive kiddie play area. Dunkin’ shares the building with Burger King in N1 City.  The Canal Walk branch is situated on the ground floor and is quite spacious. The Kenilworth Centre branch is located in the food court area. However, a dedicated seating area for Dunkin’ customers are provided.

Dunkin Donuts has obtained halaal certification from SHURA.
