Thought of the Day

Slms and hi all,

I sometimes got people ask why I bother to look after my hair (w/treatment, hair cut or when I’m worried that grey hairs starting to grow at my age now) because they said I wear hijab anyway, no one can see.
If I look after my hair/skin/body, it’s not for anyone (public), but it’s for myself as to make me feel good about myself thus it will show on my confidence and it’s for my hubby, as I don’t wear hijab at home. Plus I set an example for my daughter to never let go your beauty even if it’s not for public 😊

Beautiful MaShaAllah. may your thought of today inspire many many muslimahs out there to be proud to be a Muslim Subhanallah. I was sitting at the airport waiting for my flight when a non muslim lady struck up a conversation.. “I hope you don’t mind if I ask you a question about your …” and she pointed to my hijab. “No, of course not. Go ahead, ” I said. “Do you have to wear it all the time, like even when you sleep or take a shower?” I grinned. “No, only when I’m in public or around men I’m not related to.” Muslimahs are lucky that they have such an easy way to make a statement about what their religion means to them. Without my hijab, people probably would’nt know that i was Muslim. That is why i am so proud to be a Hijabi. Alhamdulila.
